Ah, finally my mad-English-knowledge might prove useful. I have to post this on my blog because the person who asked me was all "OFFLINE!" when I tried to reply.
Question: What's the difference between a moped and a scooter?
Answer: Wikipedia would have you believe that small scooters generally fit the definition of a moped. Here's my answer: "moped" is the past tense of "mope." I don't think scooters really fit that definition, even generally. Hope this helps!
