I can't believe my English prof marked things like "split infinitive" on my essay. Split infinitive? Split infinitive?? Basically, that means you're not allowed to say "to quickly run," you have to say "to run quickly." First of all, the split infinitive is an urban myth; the only reason it was ever a "rule" in English is because they used to model written English on Latin, and in Latin the infinitive is all one word, so you can't separate it. What if I want "to boldly go" where no one's gone before? Apparently I'm not allowed to. Bah, Cringlish (ah, another word that belongs in the lapsionary). On the other hand, only two weeks left of classes.

Amy, I applaud you for actually using the form on lapsionary. THAT'S WHAT IT'S THERE FOR. (You're the first...besides me). Banjo is now doing some serious updation. If my lapsura.com ever gets working, perhaps we'll have some coolness developing. And updation.
