(Larger version to come in the near future. Also, put your speakers on, it's a silent movie with sound.)

Silent films (back in the day) were accompanied by live music. They just didn't have the sounds that accompany the images (like speaking), so they would have a screen of printed words whenever someone talked.
Last year I watched a silent film accompanied by the RSO. It was the most hilarious film ever, mostly unintentionally.
How so?

Well, for example, at one point in the movie this guy and a girl go into a bar...or no wait, he goes in by himself...or maybe it's not a bar, I can't remember. Anyway, try to imagine it (you'll really laugh).
And I also recommend watching it (perhaps not in its entirety, it's kind of longish): "The Mark of Zorro"
And the hero of Mark of Zorro does the Jaden laugh, that's the best part. And the vaulting over donkeys, that's good too. It's mostly about the acrobatics. As well it should be.
